Children's Book - Alphabet Island
A fun and educational read-aloud tale for families with young children.
On Alphabet Island, every letter has a bright personality - and a big opinion. When a few of the letters decide they should have a king, arguments break out as each letter competes to prove who's best according to the unique sounds they can make. They eventually split into two groups (vowels and consonants) until they are reminded that one of the letters can be both!
The whole island learns a very valuable lesson: no one letter is better than the others, and everyone is special in their own way.
Through rhyme, bright colors, and a cast of unforgettable characters, Alphabet Island turns the ABC's into a funny, heartwarming tale that teaches kindness, celebrates what makes each of us special, and makes storytime an unforgettable experience.
About the Author:
As a father of five, David Gray has always been a storyteller. Whether written or spoken, his stories are more than just a colorful tale, they're stories that ring true with life-lessons and morals.
Looking back, he remembers all the evenings spent with his own children nestled in his lap - listening, learning, and enjoying the time together.
Inspired by those memories, he wrote his first published work - Alphabet Island - a tale told to his children as they were learning to read.
As a graduate of the Institute of Children's Literature, he continues to produce children's books with purpose, morals, and a lesson to be learned.
When he's not busy writing, David can be found outdoors, delighting in the rolling hills of Middle Tennessee. He calls Woodbury home and has built a life and farm there, surrounded by his wife, children, and family.
Being a carpenter and Christmas Tree Farmer means there's always plenty to do. David promises us that it is this time spent working with his hands that is the most creative time. He believes it's the perfect time to think up new ideas and stories to be revealed soon.
