Trees will be available for pre-purchase online from OCtober 1st-November 15th, 2026

How does pre-purchasing a Christmas Tree work?
  1. Visit our online store starting October 1st each year.
The online store is open for business starting October 1st, and will close (except for B&B tree purchases) after the second week of November as we open the farm in person.
  2. Choose your tree type, variety, and height.
If you are choosing a Choose & Cut or a Ball & Burlap tree there will be 2 photos available. One of the front or “good side”, and one of the back or “bad side. (not that the trees have bad sides, of course)
Pre-Cut trees will not have any photos available, because these trees are freshly cut and shipped to us right before we open the Saturday before thanksgiving. We pick these trees out for you, based on the order that the orders came in. (If you were the first order, we pick your tree first to make sure it’s as close to how you want it as possible and that it’s the prettiest in that height range. If you are the second person to order, then we choose your tree next using your desired height range and any additional order notes, according to what we have available, we follow this pattern for each and every order)
  3. Add your chosen tree to the cart & select a pickup date.
At this point you can also add any other items like wreaths or tree preservative
  4. Check out & add notes to your order.
If you are purchasing a pre-cut tree you can add notes about how you would like it to look, and we will do our best to deliver. Notes like “tall & skinny, full & fat”, etc.
  5. Picking up your tree at the farm.
Once your order confirmation goes through, we tag your tree with your name to reserve it for you.
If your purchase is for a pre-cut tree then we tag it and move it into a designated area near the registration desk. Ask for help locating your tree when you arrive, and, if the tree is not to your liking and we have others available when you arrive to pick it up, then you are welcome to make your own selection instead. Pre-purchasing just makes sure that there is a tree here for you, no matter how late in the season you may arrive.
If your purchase is for a Ball & Burlap tree, it will be dug and near the parking area when you arrive. You can ask for help to locate & load it when you are ready.
If your purchase is for a choose & cut tree, it will be down in the field waiting for you when you get here! You may go to the field and cut it down yourself or ask for help.
  6. Other Purchasing Notes.
If you are a military or law enforcement officer, we want to say thank you and show our support with a discount on your tree.
Please wait to make your purchase, and first send an email to dawn@wildwoodchristmastreefarm.com with a photo of your ID and let her know what type tree (Choose-n-cut, Ball & Burlap, or Pre-cut) you would like to purchase. You will receive a discount code in return. (ID verified discount will only work for yourself, spouse, or child)
*This code only applies to the purchase of a Christmas tree, and must unfortunately be limited to 1 per family.
*Due to accounting issues, we are not able to offer a refund if you have already placed your order without a discount code. Please be sure to get your discount code before you check out!

Tree Varieties

We grow all of these varieties of tree here on the farm, as natural and organic as they can be, meaning they’re free from pesticides, fungicides, herbicides, insecticides, and colorants.

Norway Spruce

Norway Spruce are a very popular choice of tree here at Wildwood. You could almost call them the “Southern version of a Fraser Fir”, thanks to the similarities they offer. As a Christmas tree, they’re known for a medium-dark green coloring, strong limbs and short needles, and their fragrance is a classic – second only to the Fraser Fir.

Fraser Fir

Thought of as the ideal Christmas tree and known as a tree that thrives in higher altitudes, as the soil temperature gets too hot down in the south. Here at Wildwood, we’re proud to be the first farm in the south to be able to grow a Fraser Fir! Featuring a deep green color, strong fragrance, strong branches, and short, soft needles.

Turkish Fir

Turkish Fir are a beautiful and full tree, known primarily for their lack of fragrance, which makes them perfect for allergy sufferers! They have a tendency to be very “Bush-like” or “Hershey’s Kiss shaped”, so make sure you have ample room width-wise! Featuring deep green colors, strong, compact limbs, and short, soft needles.

White Pine

These trees are a popular favorite among those with small children and pets, due to their “huggable” nature. They are native to the south, and thrive in rocky soil, growing rapidly each year when transplanted. Known for their light green color and “rounded or bush-like” shape, plus long, soft needles and softer branches. They are also a great alternative for allergy sufferers, as they produce a very mild fragrance.

Canadian Hemlock

Canadian Hemlock are a unique, but nonetheless beautiful tree in terms of appearance. The needles of this variety grow in more than one direction, different from what you would see in most evergreens, lending to what we like to call a “lacy” look. More tolerable of the shade than most, and known for a mild fragrance, medium green colors, and softer branches and needles.

Blue Spruce

Known and named for the brilliant blue color that you see in the spring, these trees almost seem to glow in the moonlight. These brilliant colors make up for the prickly exterior they offer. As a Christmas Tree, Blue Spruce are a beautiful choice, though not recommended for those with children, pets, or sensitive skin. Featuring strong and durable limbs, and short, sharp needles.

Turkish Fir

Canaan Fir

Pronounced kay-nan or even kuh-nayn, these trees offer a truly unique citrus/fir scent that many know and love. They’re very similar in appearance to a Fraser or Turkish, though more tall and slender in shape. Known for a silvery-green color, plus strong branches, and short, soft needles.

Tree - Momi Fir

Momi Fir

Also known as a Japanese Fir, these trees thrive in the heat and rocky clay typical of the south. Known for their tall, slender appearance and ability to grow quickly. Identifiable by their lighter green coloring, and known for a more mild fragrance, strong limbs, and short & wide, firm needles.

Nordmann Fir

Nordmann are known for their deep, glossy green coloring, as well as not growing as dense as other trees. So as a Christmas Tree they’re a great option for larger ornaments and garland. Featuring a tall, slender shape, little to no fragrance, strong limbs, and short, soft needles.

Wreaths & Greenery

Wreaths

These wreaths are all handmade with fresh greenery right here on the farm. Multiple options available, including plain, decorated, pre-lit, and more!

Kissing Balls

Kissing Balls are a unique and fully decorated option, made here on the farm and locally with fresh greenery and bright decorations.

Greenery

The greenery found here is carefully trimmed and bundled just for you. You can use them for a variety of projects and decorating in your home!

Got Questions About Choose & Cut Trees?

Something like “How do I cut my own tree?” or “Do I need to bring my own tools?”

We’ve got answers!
To choose & cut your own Christmas tree is as simple as it sounds. You arrive at the farm and tell us you want to cut your own tree, we ask a couple questions about variety and height, grab a hand saw, and point you in the right direction!
And if you need help to actually cut the tree down, we can help with that too!

Choosing & cutting a Christmas tree is a tradition for most people. The adventure begins by making the trek and choosing the tree. It is an experience that brings the whole family together to kick off the Christmas Season each year!

Now, there is another option. You can pre-purchase your tree online via pictures from our store (opens October 1st each year) and choose a pickup date to make it convenient for you! This ensures that there is a tree suited to your tastes here on the farm, and ready for you to cut down, however late in the season you may get here.

We provide the saw, the straps, and anything else you may need, but you’re welcome to bring your own straps and a tarp to protect the roof of your vehicle. (Please don’t bring your own saw. Our insurance doesn’t like it!)

You may be wondering

“What is a Ball & Burlap Tree, and how would I care for one?”

Ball & Burlap trees are known by many names – B&B, Living Trees, Dug Trees, and many more, but the gist of it is that these trees get dug up from our fields (roots and all) and sent home with you. After Christmas, this tree can be planted in your yard!

Many people love this idea because they hate to cut down a tree, and many more love it for the tradition it becomes. Line your driveway or build a privacy fence out of each year’s Christmas Trees.

Now, one of the most important pieces of information you need to know is this: you cannot come pick out this tree and take it home same-day.
B&B trees take time to dig up, and that time relies on the weather too.

If you’re thinking you want a B&B, you first have to pick it out, pay for it, and then pick it up at a later date.
Here are the ways you can do that:
1. Choose your tree using photos from our online store (opens October 1st each year) and choose a pickup date.
2. Visit the farm during open hours to choose your tree and then plan your pickup date. See our hours here.
3. Schedule an appointment to visit the farm during our Pre-Season to choose your tree, then schedule your pickup date. Make your appointment here.

No matter which option you go with, when you arrive on your scheduled pickup date your tree will be here waiting for you!

Wondering about pre-cut trees?

Have questions like “Where do they come from, and why?” or “Are they fresh and healthy if they’ve already been cut?”

The answer to those are simple.
Our Pre-Cut trees come from farms in Northern Tennessee and up into North Carolina. They’re cut the week before thanksgiving, and are placed in water as soon as we receive them. We bring them in because we know that tall Fraser Firs are a favorite every year, and we don’t have very many available from our fields, yet.

Now, what you may not know is that the “fresh” trees that many people get from box stores like Home Depot, Lowes, or Walmart, have been cut since September and may or may not have had any water at all.
This means that if you get a tree from a box store, it could die and lose all of its color and needles before Christmas ever arrives.

Purchasing your Pre-Cut tree at Wildwood ensures you’re getting a fresher, healthier tree!
